Plot
The story of bringing ‘ Aadujeevitham-The Goat Life’ to the silver screen is also very interesting.
This film is based on Benjamin’s Malayalam novel ‘Aadujeevitham’. In this film, Najeeb’s life full of struggle has been shown in a beautiful form, which has been portrayed by famous artist Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Najeeb is a Malayali migrant labourer who works as a shepherd on a remote farm in Saudi Arabia and finds himself trapped in a dangerous form of slavery.
Review
The beginning of this film took place in 2009 when the sight of blessings appeared based on Benjamin’s novels. After going through the novel, Blessy decided to bring it to the big screen and thus began a challenging journey.
It took a lot of effort to complete this film. The main obstacle was finance which affected the film a lot. Till 2015, Blessy did not find any producer to start the film but later Blessy along with Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams decided to produce the film and the film began to take shape.
Music of Aadujeevitham
The music of this film has been composed by famous music composer A. R. Rahman. His brilliant ideas have made the experience of the film more concrete. His music gives emotional charge to every scene of the film. His music creates a compassionate backdrop to the challenges of Najib’s difficult journey.
Cinematography
The scenes of this film have been shot mainly in the desert of Wadi Rum, in Jordan and Sahara, in Algeria and some scenes have been shot in Kerala, India. The crew members of the film had to go through an ordeal when due to the Covid pandemic they were stranded in the desert of Jordan for 70 days from March to May 2020.
Eventually they were rescued safely by the Indian Government’s evacuation program ‘Vande Bharat Mission’. Despite adverse circumstances, due to the unwavering hard work and commitment of the crew members, the film was completed in July 2022.
